Notre Dame appearing to sleepwalk early Saturday against Miami (Ohio) wasn't a surprise to the RedHawks head coach.

It wasn’t the cleanest game for Notre Dame, as they had multiple mistakes that most likely would have been costly if they were playing an opponent closer the its skill level. At the end of the day, the Irish still got a win, improved to 3-1 on the year with a looming top-25 matchup against the Louisville Cardinals next weekend.

After getting upset a week before, Notre Dame made a statement against Purdue in Week 3. The Fighting Irish pounded Purdue 66-7 -- their highest point total and biggest victory margin of the 88-game series. Next, the Irish take on Miami (Ohio), which is 0-2, at home, on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET.
