In the wake of allegations that the revered 'prasadam' from the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) in Andhra Pradesh contained animal fat, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has taken decisive steps to address the concerns by devotees.

Amid the Tirupati laddu controversy, UP's FSDA collected prasadam samples from Vrindavan's Banke Bihari Temple, Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi, and Govardhan temples to test for adulteration. A district-wide campaign on food safety in temples is underway.

This comes after Naidu and the TDP alleged that during the previous YSRCP government, ingredients such as beef tallow, lard, and fish oil were used in the preparation of Tirumala laddus.

Naidu said that government will consult with leading Hinduism experts to determine the future course of action.
