A Colorado State Patrol trooper was injured Saturday afternoon after he was shot while in his patrol vehicle in Westminster, according to the agency. The trooper shot the suspect, who died at the scene, according to the news release. The suspect has not yet been publicly identified.

CSP released a timeline of events for a shootout in which officials say a trooper was shot before returning fire and killing the suspect. Video, taken from several angles, shows the shooting spanned less than a minute.
